8. Urban Sanctuary - 287 Barbadoes St

Urban Sanctuary is a large two-storey character house with grand entrance and ornate wooden staircase. Formerly a doctor's residence built in the 1920s Urban Sanctuary has ten large bedrooms, each with double beds and a free broadband internet connection. The large size of many of the bedrooms make them excellent for couples or for a twin share between friends. The house has been fully renovated to bring it up to a modern standard.

The house has a upstairs bathroom, and downstairs there is a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, and laundry with a third toilet. The communal lounge has a TV, DVD player and heat pump. There is a nice garden at the front of the house and at the rear there is a large covered veranda with BBQ and a nice lawn area with shady trees.

Off street parking for up to 4 cars and a short five minutes walk to Cathedral Square make this a great place to call home while in Christchurch.
